re: GU16 new crafted components.

I need to check my L10 POB guns to see if they are better than the new Null Bolts. But at any rate, I need to get some of the new shield subcomponents and engine schematics for my various POBs...

There are some interesting possibilities with the Weapon efficiency booster. According to the spreadsheet, I can make a 1000 drain Nova Ion. I need to see what I can do...

doh, I mean to link to this...

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/posts/list.m?topic_id=1064122

Quote:
High Capacity Projector Mk V

+1000 hp /+600hp
+3k mass

This means you'll see an average 500 per side increase* to Mark V (Seen Below), POB, and Gunship Shields.

*Previous Mark V subcomponent only raised the hitpoints by 600 total. This subcomponent increases by 1600 total, therefore 1000 more than previous, or, 500 per side.

Weapon Efficiency Booster
-550 drain

Compared to crafted blasters Ion cannons are preferred due to the higher vs shields increasing damage per shot. I went with Ion cannons in my test because, frankly, none of these will pierce shields in a shot so vs armor means less. Reverse the stats for a disruptor of the same level. All were crafted with the subcomponent Weapon Efficiency Booster.

Heavy Ion Cannon
1735
5806
1131-1698
.77
.592
21.1
.351

1633 dps (PVP)

Equivalent to 1230-1850 dmg .71 vs stat 5 RE - 98% lv 5 gun save mass / refire

Adv Ion Cannon
1838
14492
1694-2637
.77
.61
23.1
.351

2501 dps

Equivalent to 2k-3050 dmg .66 vs stat 7 RE - 97% lv 7 gun save mass / refire

Exp Ion Cannon
1938
36232.2
2085.5-3439.2
.77
.63
25.8
.35

3190 dps

No comparison to Borstel / Tri Cannon RE with .7 vs stats and 25k mass = 3314 dps

Null Bolt Elite Blaster

Max Dmg Mk V Subcomponent

3750-6368 .74 vs stats 28 eps .350 refire= 5615 dps

Quickfire Mk V Subcomponent

3900-6000 .74 vs stats 33 eps .28 refire = 5500 dps

One could argue for crafting the Null Bolt either way. DPS is lower with the quick fire by only 100 points and fires much faster at the cost of 25 energy per shot.

Equivalent to 3.2k-5.4k dmg .86 vs stat 10 RE - 100%+ Lv 10 Gun Dmg save mass / eps

Both Heavy and Advanced Ion Cannons are worth using as a replacement for RE 5/7 guns, Experimental Ion Cannon still obsolete. Null Bolt Elite Weapons are now superior to all but the most superior lv 10 RE weapons!

Mark V Deflector Shield

2673
45236
2805/2805
13.8

Equivalent to 2600 f/b 50k mass 10 RE - 95% lv 10 save drain / recharge

A good substitute for a lv 10 shield, new stats from pirate missions undetermined. Rumored 3k+.

I don't suppose they got the devs to change the bolt graphic on the null bolts to something more star warsy?
