Space PvP Event

Friday, Oct. 9th @ 9:30pm eastern/6:30pm pacific - "D-502"

Mystery shipments from unknowns in and out of the Dantooine System has caught the interests of both of the Imperial and Alliance forces. Scouting reports large weapon stockpiles and resources. The decision was made to strike and take it all. Unfortunately both side decided to strike the same time.

Briefing/group forming will be held in Star Haven, Naboo at each faction HQ guildhall at 9:30pm eastern. Goal is launch at the top of the hour and run 3-5 battles. Afterwards there will be a get-together in Star Haven's cantina "The Refueling Station".

* This will be 3-5 rounds of 15 minutes then fight to the death.
- You must be in the system and declared at the end of the 15min mark inorder to fight to the death.
- You must also declare outside of the system.
- 5 min. break between rounds

* Each side must field one POB or Gunship for each round.

* Missile Rstriction - below is the list of allowed missiles
- Protron 1, Protron 2
- Concussion 1, Concussion 2
- Seimic 1, Seimic 2
- ImageReq 1
- Space Bomb 1

* All players are required to be on the pilot chat channel
1. Type /chatroom join chat.pilotchat (if you haven't join the chat channel)
2. Double-click your main chat tab. Make sure chat.pilotchat is in it. If not, select the channel and click >> to move it over.
3. Repeat when you launch into space. channel configuration is separate between space and ground, it's annoying.
- To talk in chat.pilotchat, you can type:
/chat.pilotchat hello
- or, create an alias. You only have to do this once per account. Type:
/alias pc /chat.pilotchat
- Then use:
/pc hello

* The battle will take place in the Dantooine System at the "Area D-502" POI
- Imperial hyperspace is Asair's Ribbon
- Rebel hyperspace is Dantooins's Wrath
- each hyperspace is a safe zone, no ganking

I edited it so it would appear on the first page as an announcement. Unfortunately, I will be at the airport picking up my father-in-law when this event starts, so I will miss it. I may miss Sunday PVP as well, depending on how much my kids can tire out their grandfather...
