Grage has asked me what server where folks will be migrating to. I guess it will also work for me.

Apparently the ORB folks are on Canderous Ordo
http://www.swtor.com/guilds/72275/orb
They have a guildportal site somewhere too.
Aiden, Dee (eventually), and some of their Ultima and SWG friends are going to be on a PVP server. I have no details.

Alirc and Jewelster are on Canderous Ordo in ORB. I think they underestimated how many people would join their pre-order friends, some servers have huge login queues, and others are marked LIGHT. This server had a smaller queue, it said 35 minutes, but really only took about 15 to get in. Others had 1+ hour queues on the server selection screen.
It was the first day though...

Bioware was probably hoping the whole assigning guilds to servers would help even out the populations. But, even then, they've been bringing servers up as needed (as I've read it), which suggested the assigned servers where only the initial ones.
Is ORB actually on their assigned server or is Canderous one they chose?

That was their assigned server. When I logged on, it appeared at the top of the server selection screen with a little flag beside it.
One other thing for beta weekend folks, I didn't actually install SWTOR. I just typed my key into my account, entered my subscription info, and ran the beta client. It patched up and ran with no issues.

Ooooo, I'm telling Bioware on you! Didn't they tell all the beta folks to uninstall because the retail version needs a clean install?
Tho, I wonder, how big is your total install now? I wonder if a fresh install would be smaller.
I don't suppose at this early stage if the devs have said anything about completely replacing the total joke they call space?

on the plus side, you don't need two accounts to fly your pob now.

Aeidan sent me a text yesterday saying they were on Bondar Crystal.
Me? I'm totally lost and haven't even done anything in Beta or bought the game.

Thanks, I guess he didn't check his hotmail...
Jewelster and Alirc are level 3. Lots of time to catch up...

You don't even need *two* hands to fly in TOR. Hell, you can fly with a single button mouse since missles make the space missions go from very easy to super stupidly easy. The blasters are enough...

ok, the logon queue on Canderous Ordo is bothering me... I think Alirc will wait for Jewelster on that server, we were having fun leveling together. I may create a Belloriche if the queue dies down this week, but I don't want to spend 30 minutes of my 2 hours of play time playing poker on my ipod while waiting to log in... Plus I'm losing all my Zynga money.
I also created an Alirc on Bondar Crystal, which has had no queue. I decided that he's going to be a hard-ass smuggler, but I had to cancel a conversation once, I got lightside points for being too nice! How can I not help a mom get medicine for her child...
Has anyone talked to Oasid? I'd be surprised if he's not playing SWTOR. I'll poke him on MSN tonight.
I'll try to remember to start MSN when I'm playing if anyone is going to play and wants to get ahold of me. I'm not sure how to change this, but SWTOR is taking over the sound and I don't hear MSN alerts while playing. Hitting alt-tab really sucks too, I'm going to try running in a window.

So I see 3 different levels of the game that one could buy. Can I get away with being as cheap as possible?

What are the 3 levels? digital download, retail box, and collector's edition? I bought the retail box. Jewelster has the collector's eddition.
Yes, get the cheapest.
