I think I may actually know the lead scientist, I think he was in the same neuro program as me. Looks like the actual paper itself is not up - I already have some questions in my mind over it. The most obvious is whether they have any evidence this is not a hard determination factor. 20 hours of gaming might be enough to learn a game, but does it really tell you long term how good they will be at gaming, or rather some pick up how to play faster. You can imagine changes that might occur in the brain of someone who has played games for 1000+ hours starting to develop response patterns more like the "quick learners"
